Montgomery County Recreation to Host Second Annual HerTime2Shine Expo

Montgomery County Recreation will host the second annual HERtime2shine Expo Saturday, April 22 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Silver Spring Civic Building, One Veterans Plaza, Silver Spring. 

 

The HERtime2shine Expo is scheduled to complement the nationwide celebration of National Girls and Women in Sports Day, which recognizes and celebrates the advancement of females in sports.

 

HERtime2shine will emphasize the benefits of active sports participation for girls and women, regardless of their ability or age. The event will provide an opportunity for local sports leagues, fitness oriented companies, instructors, and all other athletic themed businesses to showcase their programs and services and will connect girls interested in participating in sports programs with the wide-range of recreational and competitive sports programming available in the County.

 

The event will include demonstrations, entertainment and informational booths. Active participant interaction with exhibitors will be an integral part of this conference. This year’s event will have a family friendly carnival theme.  As participants visit vendor booths they will receive tickets that can be redeemed for food and/or prizes.
