MCDOT to Participate in 'Move More Montgomery' Festival This Saturday

Look for MCDOT’s tent at the Montgomery County Department of Recreation’s second annual Move More Montgomery Festival on Saturday, May 6. The free festival will be held from noon to 4 p.m. at the Bauer Drive Community Recreation Center located at 14625 Bauer Drive, Rockville.

 

MCDOT’s Commuter Services will be providing information about healthier ways to travel, including walking, biking and transit.

 

Move More Montgomery encourages residents to get up and get moving to improve health and wellness. The festival will feature a community walk, sports and fitness demonstrations, active performances, mini-classes, interactive wellness booths and the Fido Fitness Arena.

 

The event will be held rain or shine and culminate in a recognition ceremony for residents who completed the Move More Montgomery 100 Mile Challenge by walking or running 100 miles in 100 days.
