Pennyfield Lock Road to be Closed June 6 and 7 for Paving

For Immediate Release: Monday, June 5, 2017

MCDOT will close Pennyfield Lock Road from River Road to the Chesapeake History Park on Tuesday, June 6 and Wednesday, June 7  to mill and pave the roadway. This is the final step in the replacement of the Pennyfield Lock Bridge over an unnamed tributary of the Potomac River.

 

In addition to construction of a bridge replacement, MCDOT constructed a bioswale to improve stormwater management.
