AARP is offering its Smart Driver course at the Holiday Park Senior Center in Wheaton, 3050 Ferrara Drive, on Tuesday, June 13, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The cost is $15 for AARP members and $20 for non-members, only payable by check to AARP. Space is limited and registration is required by calling 1-888-227-7660. Or, take the course online.

Course participants will tune up their driving skills, learn safe driving strategies and update their knowledge of the rules of the road. The instructor provides information about normal age-related physical changes and how to adjust driving to allow for them. Students will receive a certificate after completing the class. Some insurance companies operating in Maryland consider drivers who take the course qualified for reduced or discounted premiums.
