MCDOT’s Commuter Services Section Chief Sandra Brecher accepts award from National Capital Region Transportation Planning Board Chair Rockville Mayor Bridget Donnell Newton and Vice Chair D.C. Councilmember Charles Allen

The Montgomery County Department of Transportation’s Commuter Services Section (CSS) has won the 2017 Employer Services Sales Team Achievement Award from the Transportation Planning Board's Commuter Connections program. Each year, the most successful team in encouraging employers to provide alternative transportation options is honored.

During the past year, CSS's nine sales representatives made more than 8,700 contacts with employers and held 369 meetings. As a result, the Employer Services Program added 46 new, high-impact clients . In addition, CSS conducted 183 Commuter Information Day events in addition to seminars and workshops.
