The Montgomery County Council will hold a public hearing at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 27, on Expedited Bill 20-17 that would provide for an extension of time to place a vehicle in taxi service for applicants for certain taxicab licenses that were approved for issuance, but were not issued. The bill also would generally amend the laws governing the licensing and regulation of taxicabs.
The public hearing will be held in the Third Floor Hearing Room of the Council Office Building, which is located at 100 Maryland Avenue in Rockville. The hearing will be televised live by County Cable Montgomery (CCM) on Cable Channels 996 (high definition) and 6 (standard definition) on Comcast; Channels 1056 (HD) and 6 (SD) on RCN; and Channel 30 on Verizon.
