The Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) will hold a public hearing Wednesday, August 30, on the proposed abandonment of a portion of Reed Street in Bethesda, which is a public right-of-way adjoining property owned by JBG/Woodmont II, LLC (the applicant). The property is in front of the new location for Dean & Deluca, near Bethesda Landmark movie theater.
If the abandonment is approved, the applicant will enter into a public access easement with the County to provide the public with continued access to Reed Street as a linear park, pedestrian connection and the interim Capital Crescent Trail bike path.
The hearing will begin at 7 p.m. on August 30 at The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission Headquarters, 8787 Georgia Avenue, 1st floor Planning Board Hearing Room, Silver Spring.
