As construction of the Crossing Project at the Medical Center Metro Station continues, motorists, walkers and bicyclists are urged to use extreme caution when travel near the construction zone. Motorists are advised to slow down and stay alert for pedestrians and bicyclists. Walkers and bikers should follow signs directing them to use only designated sidewalks and paths.

The Crossing Project at the Medical Center Metro Station will establish a shallow pedestrian underpass between the National Institutes of Health and Naval Support Activity Bethesda/Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, and deep elevators on the Navy side of MD 355 to the Metrorail mezzanine.  Construction will continue through 2021.
