ROCKVILLE, Md., Oct. 13, 2017—Montgomery County Council Education Committee Chair Craig Rice will host a community meeting to discuss the County’s Capital Improvements Program, which includes funding for construction projects, such as schools and roads, that are programmed in the next six years.  The meeting will be held on Monday, Nov. 13 at 6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria at Gaithersburg High School, which is located at 101 Education Blvd. in Gaithersburg.  The community meeting will seek input and provide information on capital projects in the County, with a special focus on Upcounty issues.

The meeting will provide information about opportunities that all residents have to influence decisions that will be made as the County works to establish future budget priorities related to the construction of new schools, school additions, roadways, and other community use space.

“I want to hear from folks about what their priorities are and how the Council can better serve the Upcounty,” said Councilmember Rice. “This meeting is a good opportunity to talk about capital project needs, how budget decisions are made, and discuss opportunities that residents have to influence these decisions.”
