MCDOT Leaf Vacuum Collection Begins November 6; Continues Through Mid-DecemberThe Montgomery County Department of Transportation’s Division of Highway Services (DHS) will begin its annual collection of leaves in the vacuum leaf collection district starting November 6. DHS provides two collections on every district street during the fall. A third collection may also be provided on an as-needed basis. Read more.

| | Valleywood Drive Pedestrian Bridge Damaged Following Heavy RainThe Valleywood Drive Pedestrian Bridge was severely damaged when, during an intense rain storm, erosion caused one of the bridge abutments to collapse. To ensure the public’s safety, MCDOT removed the damaged bridge. MCDOT is working on designing and constructing a temporary crossing while a permanent replacement is designed. |
