SHA Plans Weekend Lane Closures in Montgomery County This Weekend

 The State Highway Administration plans the following lane closures in Montgomery County this weekend:

• MD 97 (Georgia Avenue) at Randolph Road – Paving operations for interchange project – Multiple lane closures on each road Saturday between 6 a.m. until 7 p.m. (HIGH IMPACT)new

• Outer loop of I-495 (Capital Beltway) at southbound I-270 and southbound I-270 spur to the outer loop of I-495- Resurfacing and pavement marking - Single and double lane closures Sunday nights through Friday mornings between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. through late-fall.

 

• Inner loop of I-495 (Capital Beltway) between the Seminary Road overpass and the I-270 west spur – Resurfacing - Single and double lane closures on the mainline inner loop of I-495 Sunday nights through Friday mornings between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Crews will also close and detours ramps for resurfacing. • Inner loop I-495 ramp to MD 185 (Connecticut Avenue) (October 22 and 23)

 

• Northbound MD 185 ramp to the outer loop I-495(October 23 and 24)

 

• Southbound MD 185 ramp to the outer loop of I-495(October 23 and 24)

 

• Outer loop of I-495 ramp to northbound MD 355 (Rockville Pike)(October 24 and 25)

 

• Northbound MD 355 ramp to the outer loop I-495(October 24 and 25)

 

• Outer loop I-495 ramp to northbound I-270(October 24 and 25)

 

• Outer loop I-495 ramp to SB MD 187 (Old Georgetown Rd.)(October 25 and 26)

 

• Southbound MD 187 ramp to the outer loop I-495(October 25 and 26)

 

• Southbound I-270 between MD 121 (Clarksburg Road) and the Frederick County line – Resurfacing -  Single and double lane closures Sunday nights until Friday mornings between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. through Thursday, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. (northbound I-270 will be completed next spring)

   

• I-270 Bridge over Great Seneca Creek and Game Preserve – Routine bridge inspection -  lane closures Sunday between 4 a.m. and 12 noon. new

   

• MD 190 (River Road) between Seven Locks Road and Carderock Springs Road - Private/commercial water utility work - Single and double lane closures Sunday nights through Friday mornings between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.

   

• MD 193 (University Boulevard) between I-495 (Capital Beltway) and MD 320 (Piney Branch Road) – Resurfacing - Single and double lane closures Sundays through Friday mornings between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., as well as Mondays through Fridays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

   

• MD 355 (Wisconsin Avenue) near Commerce Lane - Private/commercial WMATA crane operation - Double southbound lane closures with sidewalk closure Saturday and Sunday between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. on the weekends of 10/13 and 10/21. (HIGH IMPACT)

• US 29 (Colesville Road) between I-495 (Capital Beltway) and MD 97 (Georgia Avenue) -  WSSC water line replacement project - Single and double lane closures Mondays through Fridays between 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Sundays through Friday mornings between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Weekend lane closures are possible between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.
