Health Experts Discuss
Rapid Increase in STDs in the United States
and its Impact on the Latino Community
on Council’s Weekly Radio America Show,
Nov. 3 at 2:30 p.m.

ROCKVILLE, Md., November 2, 2017—Dr. Claudia Campos, psychologist, sexologist, and President and Senior Sexual and Reproductive Health Consultant at the Centro Integral de la Mujer; Dilcia Molina, Project Coordinator at the Clinica del Pueblo; Axel Reyes, HIV Program Manager at Empoderate; and Victor Claros, Founder of “Proyecto Impacto,” are the featured guests on the Friday, November 3 broadcast of En Sintonía con el Concejo del Condado de Montgomery (Tuned in with the Montgomery County Council), a weekly show on Radio America (WACA 1540AM). They will discuss the rapid increase in cases of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) in the United States, and the impact this increase has had on the Latino community.

The topic of STDs has often been considered a taboo in the Latino community. En Sintonía has assembled this group of experts to foster a frank and honest discussion on the health impacts of STDs on the Latino community, inform listeners about methods of prevention and treatment, and dispel myths related to these diseases.
