ROCKVILLE, Md., Dec. 14, 2017—Council President Hans Riemer is the featured guest on this week’s episode of En Sintonía con el Concejo del Condado de Montgomery (Tuned in with the Montgomery County Council), this Friday, December 15 at 2:30 p.m. on Radio America (WACA 1540AM). President Riemer will share his agenda for the 2018 year and discuss the areas of life in the County he intends to give extra attention to during his presidency, including education, economic development, protected bike lanes, government transparency and cybersecurity.
Andrés Salguero, a Latin Grammy winning children’s artist better known as “123 Andrés,” also will join the program to discuss the importance of children growing up bilingual. He also will talk about his upcoming fundraising concert for the Greater DC Diaper Bank, an organization which empowers families and individuals in need throughout DC, Maryland, and Virginia by providing an adequate and reliable source for basic baby needs and personal hygiene products.

The Montgomery County Council and Radio America have entered a partnership that provides the Latino community with key information on issues and programs. The partnership also provides a forum for residents to express views and ask questions. The partnership includes the weekly one-hour show each Friday on the Washington metropolitan area’s most popular Spanish language station. Lilian Mass is the show’s host.
Each week, the show features guests talking about important issues before the Council and provides information about programs offered by the County to help residents.
