Leggett to Hold First FY19 Operating Budget Forum on January 8; Residents’ Feedback Crucial in Determining Budget Priorities

For Immediate Release: Tuesday, January 2, 2018

Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett is holding the first FY19 budget forums for public input on Monday, January 8.  The forum runs from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

“Public forums are the residents’ opportunity to let me know what is important to them as I prepare next year’s operating budget for submission to the County Council on March 15,” said County Executive Leggett.  “Input from residents for the FY19 budget is crucial in helping me determine the County’s budget priorities.”

The forum will be held at the Bethesda Chevy Chase Regional Services Center, 4805 Edgemoor Lane, Bethesda.

The County Executive will announce his Recommended FY19 Operating Budget on March 15.  The County Council then provides its input and gives final approval of the operating budget at the end of May.
