Montgomery County Government offices and departments will remain OPEN today according to their normal operating schedules with optional LIBERAL LEAVE for non-essential employees effective at 11 a.m. Essential employees must work their regular hours and report as scheduled.

All scheduled Montgomery County Recreation Department programs, classes and Senior Centers will close at 2 p.m. today due to the inclement weather.

Updated: 4:28 p.m.: Montgomery County Public Libraries Potomac and Rockville Memorial branches will close at 6 p.m. All other branches are expected to be open regularly scheduled hours, although some may be offering limited service.  Customers should call their local branches for more information.

Non-essential Montgomery County employees must notify their supervisors of their intent to use appropriate leave (see MCtime Resources – Liberal Leave Guidance) without prior supervisory approval. Telework-approved employees who are regularly scheduled to perform telework must be prepared to work, take leave, or a combination of both.
