Major Weekend Lane Closures

 

Anne Arundel County

 

• US 50 on the Severn River Bridge – Lane widening project – Single lane closures 7 days a week – Single lane closures 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. (double lanes 11 p.m. until 5 a.m.)

   

• Inner loop of I-695 at the Curtis Creek Drawbridge – Drawbridge repair – (MDTA project) Inner loop I-695 closed and traffic in two-way operation using the outer loop of I-695 until November 2018.

Baltimore County

 

• Edmonson Avenue ramp to the outer loop of I-695 – Highway widening project – Ramp to be CLOSED and detoured beginning 9 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday. Motorists will be directed to Ingleside Avenue to US 40 (Baltimore National Pike) to I-695.

• Warren Road Bridge (ramp) over I-83 – Routine bridge inspection – Single lane closures Saturday between 4 a.m. and 12 noon. New

   

• Cold Bottom Road Bridge over I-83 – Routine bridge inspection – Single lane closures Sunday between 4 a.m. and 12 noon. new

Montgomery County

 

• Shady Grove Road Bridge over I-270 – Routine bridge inspection – Double lane closures Saturday between 4 a.m. and 12 noon. New

   

• Montrose Road Bridge over I-270 – Routine bridge inspection – Single lane closures Sunday between 4 a.m. and 12 noon. new

• Inner and outer loop of I-495 (Capital Beltway) between MD 97 (Georgia Avenue) and MD 185 (Connecticut Avenue) – Seminary Road bridge rehabilitation project – Occasional single lane closures Sunday nights through Friday mornings between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.

 

• MD 355 (Wisconsin Avenue) between Waverly Street and Willow Lane (at 7272 Wisconsin Avenue) - Private /commercial demolition/construction project - Intermittent southbound lane closures with sidewalk closures Mondays through Fridays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. and/or Sunday nights to Friday mornings between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.

   

• US 29 (Colesville Road) between I-495 (Capital Beltway) and MD 97 (Georgia Avenue) -  WSSC water line replacement project - Single and double lane closures Mondays through Fridays between 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Sundays through Friday mornings between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Weekend lane closures are possible between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.

Carroll County

 

• MD 30 Business (Main Street) between North Woods Trail and the CSX Railroad tracks – Urban reconstruction project – Single lane closures with a flagging operation Mondays through Saturdays between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. until project completion, fall 2019/winter 2020.

   

  Charles County

   

  • MD 234 (Budds Creek Road) Bridge over Gilbert Swamp Run – Bridge replacement –Single lane closure guided by a temporary traffic signal until spring.

   

  • MD 6 (Charles Street) Bridge over Zekiah Swamp – Bridge deck replacement – Single lane closure guided by a temporary traffic signal until spring.

• I-83 (Baltimore-Harrisburg Expressway) at MD 137 (Mt. Carmel Road) – Bridge replacement project – Occasional single lane closures Mondays through Fridays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. 

Montgomery County

 

• Northbound MD 355 (Wisconsin Avenue) between Stanford Street and Walsh Avenue - Private/commercial crane operation - Double lane closures on Saturday, February 3, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.  new

   

• Southbound MD 355 (Wisconsin Avenue) between Elm Street and Bethesda Avenue – Building demolition– Single lane closures Sunday nights through Friday mornings between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.

   

Prince George’s County

 

• MD 208 (Hamilton Street) between Ager Road and 38th Street - Private commercial water main replacement project - Single lane closures Mondays through Fridays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

 

Washington County

 

• I-81 at the MD 63/MD 68 Bridge – Highway and bridge widening – Single lane closures Sunday nights through Friday mornings between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.

   

• I-70 at MD 65 (Sharpsburg Pike) – Soil boring work – Occasional single lane closures Sunday nights through Friday mornings between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. new

 

Worcester County

• MD 528 (Coastal Highway) between 26^th Street and 62^nd Street – Median fence construction – Left lane closed in each direction 24/7. Left turn lane access is maintained.
