2018 Primary Election and
United States Citizenship and Immigration Services
are Focus of Council’s Radio America Show,
Today at 2:30 p.m.
ROCKVILLE, Md., February 16, 2018—Gilberto Zelaya, spokesperson for the Montgomery County Board of Elections, and Joanne Ferreira, spokesperson for United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) are the featured guests on this episode of “En Sintonia con el Concejo del Condado” (In Tune with the Montgomery County Council), airing today, February 16 at 2:30 p.m. on Radio America (WACA 1540AM). Gilberto Zelaya will discuss preparations and volunteer opportunities associated with the 2018 primary elections. He will also discuss voter registration and early and absentee voting. The 2018 primary elections will take place on Tuesday, June 26. The 2018 general election will take place on Tuesday, November 6.
On the second part of the program, Joanne Ferreira will discuss the resources available at USCIS for people on the path to United States citizenship.

The Montgomery County Council and Radio America have entered a partnership that provides the Latino community with key information on issues and programs. The partnership also provides a forum for residents to express views and ask questions. The partnership includes the weekly one-hour show each Friday on the Washington metropolitan area’s most popular Spanish language station. Lilian Mass is the show’s host.
