Safety Tips for Biking

Thinking about trying out bikeshare or taking advantage of the County’s new protected bike lanes? Stay safe by following these Street Smart tips:

 

                                                                

Obey signs and signals.                                    Never ride against traffic.                                 Use hand signals to tell

                                       drivers what you intend to do.

 

 

                                                               Ride in a straight line at                                           Wear a helmet.                                       Use lights at night and when                    least 3 feet from parked cars.                                                                                                                 visibility is poor.
