Single Lane Closures Planned on Rockville Pike between Woodmont Avenue and Chestnut Street Next Week

On March 5 through 9, the southbound and northbound LEFT lanes will be closed on Rockville Pike between Chestnut Street and Woodmont Avenue from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to demolish and replace the center island at the Woodmont Avenue intersection.

 

MCDOT is beginning construction of Intersection Improvements at Rockville Pike/Jones Bridge Road/Center Drive (National Institutes of Health (NIH)) and at Rockville Pike/Woodmont Avenue. Weather conditions permitting, single lane closures are planned on weekdays only during March and April for construction of MCDOT’s MD 355 (Rockville Pike) Crossing Project at the Medical Center Metro Station.
