The following Committee meetings are scheduled on April 9. Meeting: Government Operations and Fiscal Policy (GO) Committee
Date/Time: Monday, April 9 at 9:30 a.m.

- Expedited Bill 5-18, Special Taxing District – White Flint - Amendments
The GO Committee will review Expedited Bill 5-18, which would modify the boundaries of the White Flint Special Taxing District to be consistent with the changes made by the District Council to the White Flint 2 Sector Plan. The bill also would include properties currently exempt from the special tax in the Special Taxing District if they redevelop through new construction or construct an addition to an existing building. Council President Hans Riemer is the lead sponsor.

- Fiscal Year 2019-2024 Capital Improvements Program review for the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC)
The PHED Committee will review the capital budget request for M-NCPPC. On January 16, the County Executive released his recommended FY19 Capital Budget and FY19-24 Capital Improvements Program (CIP). For M-NCPPC the County Executive recommended a total of $217.035 million, which is a $32.497 million increase over the Amended FY17-22 CIP. The M-NCPPC capital budget requests is a total of $243.497 million for the FY19-24 CIP. The focus of the PHED Committee meeting will be on the following budget recommendations from the County Executive: Reducing Park and Planning bonds by $10.946 million; reducing current revenue by $2.112 million; and reducing GO Bonds by an additional $8.941 million.

- FY19 Operating Budget review for M-NCPPC
The Committee also will review the operating budget request for M-NCPPC. The County Executive recommended a total of $137.7 million, which is a $7.5 million increase over fiscal year 2018. M-NCPPC operating budget requests is a total of $166.1 million for FY19.
