Leggett Seeks Applicants for Washington Suburban Transit Commission

Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett seeks applicants to fill two vacancies on the Washington Suburban Transit Commission. One appointee will also serve as an alternate on the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) Board of Directors. The seven-member Commission, consisting of three members from Montgomery County, three from Prince George’s County, and one ex-officio member, administers the Washington Suburban Transit District and has powers to develop, on a bi-county basis, a transportation system, including mass transit facilities for Montgomery and Prince George’s counties.
