MDOT Road Work on MD 97 (Georgia Avenue) at Randolph Road Will Occur May 12

For Immediate Release: Thursday, May 10, 2018

Weather permitting, the Maryland Department of Transportation has rescheduled work on the Georgia Avenue interchange project bridge that was planned for the weekend of May 5, and now will occur May 12. From 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Traffic impacts include:

• No through traffic will be permitted at the Georgia/Randolph intersection;

• All traffic will be restricted to right-only turns only under police direction.

Drivers are urged to consider an alternate route such as MD 185 (Connecticut Avenue) or MD 586 (Veirs Mill Road). Real time traffic information is available at www.md511.org or 1-855-466-3511.
