Montgomery County Receives 47 National Association of Counties Achievement Awards, Including Two "Best in Category" Awards

Montgomery County has received 47 National Association of Counties (NACo) achievement awards for outstanding programs this year, including two "Best in Category" awards.

“These awards recognize excellence and showcase many of the engaging and innovative programs that County employees have launched for the benefit of our residents,” said County Executive Ike Leggett. “I am proud of all our County employees who work so hard to serve our residents, and I am pleased NACo has recognized their achievements with these awards.” 

The Department of Transportation received a “Best in Category” award for its "BIM360 Collaboration Hub" and the Mid-County Regional Services Center was honored with a “Best in Category” award for its "Neighborhood Action Teams."

In addition, the following County departments received achievement awards:

Correction and Rehabilitation: “Re-entry Tablet Program”;

County Executive’s Office: “Montgomery County Business Portal”;

Environmental Protection: “Engaging a Community in Energy Savings”;

Fire and Rescue Service: “Mobile Integrated Health”;
