MCDOT is helping to publicize the closures by distributing paper or email brochures at selected Metro stations, the Wheaton Regional Services Center, the Mobile Commuter Store and Silver Spring TRiPS Commuter Store and 90 businesses and apartment complexes in the Wheaton and Glenmont areas.
MCDOT is also selling MARC Train tickets at the Silver Spring TRiPs Store and Mobile Commuter Store.
The Mobile Commuter Store will focus its visits on the eastern portion of the County that is expected to be most impacted by the closure.
Interested businesses are encouraged to take advantage of MCDOT’s Quick Start Telework Program that offers training materials and policy recommendations for use by employers looking to implement telework on a short-term basis.
