Montgomery County Recreation Receives Eight NACo Awards

Montgomery County Recreation has earned eight National Association of Counties (NACo) achievement awards for outstanding programs in 2018.

“Montgomery County Recreation is honored to receive eight NACo awards in the parks and recreation category—more than any other recreation department in the country,” said Montgomery County Recreation Director Gabe Albornoz. “These awards are a testament of the hard work and dedication that recreation staff put into every program every day.”

The NACo award-winning Montgomery County Recreation programs include the following:

• Advancing Youth Development Training
• Dream Academy
• Fashion Boot Camp
• HerTime2Shine
• MoCo’s Got Talent
• Second Thursday Silver Spring Dance
• Soccer4Change
• Water Safety Day
