ROCKVILLE, Md., September 7, 2018—Blanca Kling, spokesperson for the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD); Omar Tortolero, corporal for the MCPD; Carlos Falcon and Carlos Castro, recreation specialists in the Youth Development team at the Montgomery County Department of Recreation, will be the featured guests on this week’s episode of En Sintonía con el Concejo del Condado de Montgomery (Tuned in with the Montgomery County Council), airing today at 2:30 p.m. on Radio America (WACA 1540AM). In the first segment of the show, Blanca Kling and Corporal Tortolero will discuss pedestrian and road safety in Montgomery County. In the second half of the show, the other guests will discuss the role the Department of Recreation plays in positive youth development in the County.
The Montgomery County Council and Radio America have entered a partnership that provides the Latino community with key information on issues and programs. The partnership also provides a forum for residents to express views and ask questions. The partnership includes the weekly one-hour show each Friday on the Washington metropolitan area’s most popular Spanish language station. Lilian Mass is the show’s host.
Each week, the show features guests talking about important issues before the Council and provides information about programs offered by the County to help residents.
