Montgomery County Council President Riemer to meet with media on Sept. 17 at 11:30 a.m. --note room change

ROCKVILLE, Md., Sept. 14, 2018—Montgomery County Council President Hans Riemer will meet with members of the media on Monday, Sept. 17 at 11:30 a.m. to discuss key issues concerning the Council and its respective committees.  He will discuss Zoning Text Amendment (ZTA) 18-03, which would allow breweries, cideries and distilleries located in the County’s Agricultural Reserve to supplement their income by allowing additional sales activities and tasting rooms.  He also will discuss the Bicycle Master Plan, which has the following goals: making the County a world-class bicycling community; promoting bicycle access to a comfortable safe and connected bicycle network; and making bicycling a viable transportation option that improves the County’s quality of life.      

Council President Riemer’s meeting with members of the media will be in the Potomac River Conference Room (room number 6480) located on the sixth-floor of the Council Office Building at 100 Maryland Ave. in Rockville.  

Council President Riemer meets regularly with members of the media to preview the Council’s weekly activities and discuss local issues.
