Montgomery’s East County Regional Center to Host Job Fair on Wednesday, October 17

Recruiters representing more than 60 employers from a wide variety of fields are expected on Wednesday, October 17, as Montgomery County’s East County Community Recreation Center hosts the Second Annual East County Regional Job Fair. From 3-7 p.m., recruiters from the Federal Government, Maryland State Government, County Government and the private sector will be talking with job seekers.

The East County Community Recreation Center is located at 3310 Gateshead Manor Way in Silver Spring. Parking is free and the center is accessible via RideOn bus and Metro Access.

Job seekers are asked to bring many copies of their resume and to dress in business attire. Registration for job seekers is encouraged at 2018eastcountyjobfair.eventbrite.com.

Employers can reserve a free table at the event until Friday, October 12, at https://form.jotform.com/wsmontgomery/EastCounty2018. Additional information for employers is available by calling 202-534-9758.

At last year’s first job fair at the center, more than 600 job seekers attended.

Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett and County Councilmember Tom Hucker are among the partners supporting the job fair. Other job fair partners include Congressman John Sarbanes; State Senator Craig Zucker; State Delegates Anne Kaiser, Eric Luedtke and Pam Queen; the East County Regional Service Center; the County Department of Recreation; the County Commission for Women and WorkSource Montgomery.
