MCDOT to Hold Public Hearing About Possible Improvements for the MD 650/Powder Mill Road Intersection

For Immediate Release: Tuesday, October 30, 2018

Public input is sought about proposals to improve the MD 650/Powder Mill Road Intersection within the Whit Oak area. Concepts include:

• Adding turn lanes at MD 650 and Powder Mill Road

• A new on-ramp to the outer loop of the Beltway; a bus queue jump lane; and widening the Powder Mill Road approaches at MD 650 and Elton Street, and

• Traffic calming measures on Elton Street between MD 650 and Prince George’s County

 

The Hearing will be held on Thursday, November 15 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the White Oak Community Recreation Center Social Hall, 1700 April Lane, Silver Spring.
