Election results and advice for asylum seekers are the focus of “En Sintonía con el Concejo del Condado,” Friday, Nov. 9 at 2:30 p.m.

ROCKVILLE, Md., November 8, 2018—Sara Pitney, immigration lawyer, and Liana Montecinos, legal expert and activist, are the featured guests on the Friday, November 9 episode of “En Sintonia con el Concejo del Condado” (In Tune with the Montgomery County Council), airing at 2:30 p.m. on Radio America (WACA 1540AM). The guests will respond to caller questions related to seeking asylum in the United States.

In the first minutes of the program, host Lilian Mass will share highlights of local results from the midterm elections which took place on Tuesday, November 6.


The Montgomery County Council and Radio America have entered a partnership that provides the Latino community with key information on issues and programs. The partnership also provides a forum for residents to express views and ask questions. The partnership includes the weekly one-hour show each Friday on the Washington metropolitan area’s most popular Spanish language station. Lilian Mass is the show’s host.

Each week, the show features guests talking about important issues before the Council and provides information about programs offered by the County to help residents.
