PUBLIC HEARINGS
The Montgomery County Council will hold public hearings on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. on the following amendment and special appropriations:
Special Appropriation to the FY19 Operating Budget of the Montgomery County Government; DHHS; $92,460 for the African American Health Program. Source: General Fund Reserves.
Amendment to the FY 19-24 Capital Improvements Program (CIP) and Special Appropriation to the FY19 Capital Budget for Montgomery County Government, Department of Police - $6,550,000 for the Public Safety Communications Center. Source: GO Bonds.
The Montgomery County Council will also hold public hearings on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. on the following Expedited Bills:
Expedited Bill 37-18, Transient Housing - Short Term Rental License - Appeals, would amend the appeal process for Short-Term Rental Licenses.
Expedited Bill 38-18, Weapons - Urban Area – Boundary, would change the boundaries of the urban area; and generally amend the County law on weapons.
Expedited Bill 39-18, Domestic Violence Coordinating Council - Membership - Amendments, would add 2 members to the Domestic Violence Coordinating Council; extend the term of the chair of the Council; modify the requirements for the student member; and generally amend the law governing the Domestic Violence Coordinating Council.

The public hearings will be held in the Third Floor Hearing Room of the Council Office Building, which is located at 100 Maryland Avenue in Rockville. The meeting will be televised live by County Cable Montgomery (CCM) on Cable Channels 996 (high definition) and 6 (standard definition) on Comcast; Channels 1056 (HD) and 6 (SD) on RCN; and Channel 30 on Verizon.
