MCDOT invites the public to attend a public hearing on Wednesday, February 13, beginning at 7:00 p.m., to provide comments concerning construction of multiple sidewalks to provide disabled citizens, pedestrians and bicyclists safer travel to schools and nearby public attractions or facilities.
The hearing will address two proposed sidewalk projects:
1. Bannockburn Community: Wilson Lane (south side) between Braeburn Place and Laverock Lan
2. Bradmoor Community: Hempstead Avenue (both sides) between McKinley Street and Hartsdale Avenue, and McKinley Street (both sides) between Hempstead Avenue and Garfield Street
The hearing will be held at 100 Edison Park Drive, Public Safety Headquarters Conference Room, 1st Floor, Gaithersburg.
Project files are available for examination in the offices of the Department of Transportation, Division of Transportation Engineering (DTE), 4th Floor, 100 Edison Park Drive, Gaithersburg, Maryland. The public may call 240-777-7271 to schedule an appointment to review the files and obtain details and information related to the public hearing, or to reserve time to testify at an upcoming hearing.

Interpreter services will be provided upon request. Please allow (5) business days advance notice when requesting interpreter services. The facility is handicap accessible and is a secure building; attendees will be required to provide valid identification and successfully pass through security scanning.
