Montgomery County Government Closed Jan. 14; Essential Personnel Must Report as Scheduled

For Immediate Release: Monday, January 14, 2019

Montgomery County government is closed as of 7 a.m. Monday, Jan. 14. Essential personnel must still report to work at their regularly scheduled times. County facilities, other than Public Safety facilities are closed.  There will not be Montgomery County recycling and trash collection Jan. 14. Residents are asked not to put trash cans and recycling bins at their curbs.

The Shady Grove Processing Facility and Transfer Station are closed. The public drop-off areas, as well as the transfer building, are also closed.

Ride on is operating on a normal schedule, but delays are to be expected.

The Budget Forum originally scheduled for Jan. 14 at the BlackRock Center for the Arts at 12901 Town Commons Drive in Germantown has been rescheduled to the Thursday, Jan. 31, snow date.

All Montgomery County Recreation Centers and Aquatics Centers are closed. All Senior Centers are closed, and regularly scheduled programs and activities are canceled. Drop-in activities will not be available at Community Recreation Centers.
