Public hearing on Veirs Mill Corridor Master Plan to be held at Holiday Park Senior Center in Silver Spring on Thursday, Feb. 7 at 7:30 p.m.

ROCKVILLE, Md., Feb. 1, 2019--The Montgomery County Council public hearing on the Veirs Mill Corridor Master Plan scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 7 will not be held at the Council Office Building. In order to bring better access and reach the communities this master plan will directly impact, the Council agreed to hold this hearing at the Holiday Park Senior Center, 3950 Ferrara Drive in Silver Spring. The hearing will begin at 7:30 p.m. 

More details about the plan, which among other things focuses on neighborhood access to anticipated bus rapid transit, improving connectivity and opportunities for redevelopment, can be found here. The public hearing is open to members of the public. Residents can sign up to testify here.

The meeting will be televised live by County Cable Montgomery (CCM) on Cable Channels 996 (high definition) and 6 (standard definition) on Comcast; Channels 1056 (HD) and 6 (SD) on RCN; and Channel 30 on Verizon.
