Montgomery County Government Closed Wednesday, Feb. 20; Essential Personnel Must Report as Scheduled

For Immediate Release: Wednesday, February 20, 2019

Montgomery County government is closed as of 7 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20. Essential personnel must still report to work at their regularly scheduled times. County facilities, other than Public Safety facilities are closed.  

Ride On is operating on a normal schedule, but delays are to be expected. 

Residents are asked not to put trash cans and recycling bins at their curbs. 

The Shady Grove Processing Facility and Transfer Station are closed. The public drop-off areas, as well as the transfer building, are also closed. 

Montgomery County recycling and trash collection is cancelled for Wednesday, Feb 20. This is a slide week for collections due to the Presidents Day holiday. The new modified schedule is Wednesday customers will be collected on Friday; Thursday customers collected on Saturday; and Friday customers collected on Sunday. Residents are asked not to put trash cans and recycling bins at their curbs until their pickup day.
