For Immediate Release: Thursday, March 21, 2019

Beginning on or about March 26th, a segment of the Rock Creek Park Trail will be closed for two weeks to safely demolish the Rock Creek Bridge. Additional daytime closures will occur on an as-needed basis between 7 am - 5 pm through the month of April. Electronic message boards have been placed along the trail in advance of construction to alert trail users.

At a later date, two new bridges will be built to carry the Purple Line light rail and the Capital Crescent Trail over Rock Creek.
