Montgomery County GreenFest was a magnet for young and old on Sunday, as area residents hopped the free MCDOT Ride On shuttle from Glenmont Station for the annual celebration of sustainable living, held this year in Brookside Gardens.
Among the many festival’s many attractions, the popular MCDOT booths offered remote-control truck play for children and a range of giveaways, including bike and pedestrian safety aids. For the adults, there were native trees for planting. For everyone, there was ample information about MCDOT transit and other services, as well as the Department’s activities to improve sustainability in all aspects of our operations.
Learn more about MCDOT’s green initiatives and sustainability policy.
