Five individuals and one family also will be recognized for their efforts to encourage and motivate others in their communities or workplaces to increase waste reduction, reuse, recycling, buying recycled and composting/grasscycling efforts.

The businesses and nonprofits will be recognized in the following categories: excellence in recycling more than 70 percent of their waste stream during calendar year 2018; innovative waste reduction, reuse and/or recycling programs; and exemplary efforts to reinvigorate waste reduction, reuse and recycling.
