County Sponsors Free Caregiver Event June 15; Interactive Event Designed for Family/Friend Unpaid Caregivers

For Immediate Release: Monday, June 3, 2019

Residents serving as caregivers for family and friends are invited to learn about available supports for caregivers, participate in a listening session with County policymakers to share concerns and visit an information resource fair at the Care for the Caregiver event on Saturday, June 15 in Silver Spring.  The free event will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Silver Spring Civic Building, located at 1 Veterans Plaza.  The event will inspire, educate and motivate those who provide free care for a family member or friend and will include interactive conversations that will introduce caregivers to local networks and public-private programs that support well-being.  Attendees will also have an opportunity to hear about unique caregiver supports available for African/Asian American. Latino/LGBTQIA and other diverse communities in Montgomery County.
