ROCKVILLE, Md., June 6, 2019—Melissa Rivera, spokesperson for Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS); Andres Ovalle, activation specialist with Montgomery Parks; and Nora Morales, program director at Identity, Inc., will be the featured guests on the latest episode of En Sintonia con el Concejo del Condado de Montgomery (In Tune with the Montgomery County Council), airing tomorrow, Friday, June 7 at 2 p.m. on Radio America (WILC 900AM). The focus of this week’s program will be summer programs for MCPS students, children of all ages in the County and their parents. The program also will provide information on “Un Cafecito con su Concejal,” an event where residents can engage in conversation with Councilmember Gabe Albornoz, who chairs the Health and Human Services Committee, about community health issues.
The Montgomery County Council and Radio America have entered a partnership that provides the Latino community with key information on issues and programs. The partnership also provides a forum for residents to express views and ask questions. The partnership includes the weekly one-hour show each Friday on the Washington metropolitan area’s most popular Spanish language station. Lilian Mass is the show’s host.
Each week, the show features guests talking about important issues before the Council and provides information about programs offered by the County to help residents.
