New Parking Rates in Two Bethesda Garages Take Effect in Mid-August

For Immediate Release: Monday, July 15, 2019

Effective on or about August 19^th, MCDOT will modify the parking rates of the Waverly Garage (Garage 47) and the Metropolitan Garage (Garage 49).  In accordance with the Transportation Fees, Charges, and Fares resolution passed in February by the Montgomery County Council, the new rates will be instituted to optimize occupancy and meet the customer service goals and transportation trends within the Bethesda Parking Lot District (PLD).

The Waverly garage rates will increase from $1.00 to $1.25 per hour, and the Metropolitan Garage rates will decrease from $1.25 to $1.00 per hour.  The hours charged at both facilities will continue to follow the existing schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 am - 10:00 pm.  Permit fees for Parking Convenience Stickers that allow monthly parking at Garage 47 will also remain unchanged at $150 per month.
