OLO Report 2019-4: Inventory of Rent Subsidy Program in Montgomery County
The PHED and HHS Committees will meet jointly to review OLO Report 2019-4. The Council asked the Office of Legislative Oversight (OLO) to prepare this report on the rent subsidy programs in Montgomery County and the populations served by these programs. This report inventories 29 programs administered in the County that provide rent subsidies on behalf of households (individuals or families) who would be otherwise unable to obtain or retain permanent housing due to low income and/or a disabling condition.

Community Grants Process
The PHED and HHS Committees will meet jointly to develop a vision and strategy for the community grants process. On February 9, the Office of Management and Budget transmitted a memo to the Council President indicating that fiscal year 2020 (FY20) is the final year that the County Executive will implement a separate County Executive community collaboration grants process. Beginning in FY21, the Office of the County Executive and County Council will collaboratively develop a more robust approach to community grants that will be targeted to specific outcomes.
