Montgomery County Executive Elrich to Participate in National Night Out Tuesday, Aug. 6

Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich will participate in numerous National Night Out activities around the County Tuesday, Aug. 6 (see itinerary below). The annual event, sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW), is designed to enhance crime prevention awareness and activities in neighborhoods. During National Night Out events, residents are encouraged to spend time getting to know their neighbors and building community spirit. Elected officials and police representatives attend many events. This year marks the 36th anniversary of National Night Out observances.

The tentative National Night Out itinerary for County Executive Elrich:

• 4:45 p.m. Georgia Avenue Fire Station, Georgia Avenue Fire Station, 16911 Georgia Ave., Olney
• 5 p.m. Olney Town Center, Fair Hill Shopping Center
• 6 p.m. Mid-County Community Center, 2004 Queensguard Road, Silver Spring
• 6:30 p.m. Gwendolyn E. Coffield Comm. Center, 2450 Lyttonsville Road, Silver Spring
• 7:15 p.m. Quince Orchard Park, Q.O. Park Clubhouse-500 Orchard Ridge Drive, Gaithersburg
• 7:35 p.m. Community of Saybrooke, 702 Saybrooke Oaks Blvd., Gaithersburg
• 8:10 p.m. Mount Calvary Baptist Church, 608 N. Horners Lane, Rockville
• 8:35 p.m. Manor Lake Civic Association, Maryvale Elementary School. 15101 Bauer Dr., Rockville
