Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) and the Washington Area Bicyclists Association (WABA) are co-sponsoring a Learn to Ride Cycle class designed for adult beginners from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 2. The class was created for adults who have never ridden a bike before or have tried to learn but have been unsuccessful. Certified WABA instructors will teach safety tips and strategies for safe bicycling. Registration is required and walk-ins will not be accepted. The cost is $10 per person for Montgomery County residents and free to WABA and MCLiberty members.
Interested in trying out an eScooter? Take a test ride and learn safety tips and other basic scooter laws at MCDOT’s Learn to Ride eScooter Class, which will be held Saturday, November 2 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Participants must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license. This class is free thanks to the Lime and Bird scooter companies. No registration is required and walk ins will be accepted.
Both classes meet in the Montgomery College Rockville campus front parking lot 13, located at 850 Hungerford Drive, Rockville.
