Holiday Schedule for Thanksgiving Day

For Immediate Release: Tuesday, November 26, 2019

Montgomery County government will observe the following holiday schedule for Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 28:

County Offices – closed;

Libraries – closed;

Alcohol Beverage Services (ABS) – closed;

Recreation – All programs and facilities are closed;  

Montgomery Parks - visit www.MontgomeryParks.org;

Ride On – operates on a Sunday schedule.  Click on a route number for the Sunday schedule.

Ride On Flex – does not operate on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 28;

Metrorail and Metrobus – visit www.wmata.com;

TRiPS Commuter Store (Silver Spring) – closed;

TRiPS Mobile Commuter Store – closed;

County-provided refuse/recycling pickup – County-provided trash and recycling collection is canceled Thursday, Nov. 28.  After the holiday, County-provided trash and recycling collection will slide one day later, with the last collection Saturday, Nov. 30; 

Shady Grove Processing Facility and Transfer Station – closes at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27 and is closed Thursday, November 28;

Parking at public garages, lots, curbside meters – free; and

State offices and courts – closed.
