Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals and Future Elections are the featured topics on “En Sintonía con el Concejo del Condado,” Today, Nov. 15 at 2 p.m. on Radio America

ROCKVILLE, Md., Nov. 15, 2019—Luz Chávez, dreamer and representative of United We Dream, Immigration Attorney Silverio Coy and Gilberto Zelaya, spokesperson for the Montgomery County Board of Elections, will be the featured guests on En Sintonía con El Concejo del Condado de Montgomery (In Tune with the Montgomery County Council), today, Nov. 15 at 2 p.m. on Radio America (WILC 900AM). Luz Chávez and Silverio Coy will discuss recent actions in regards to the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) and how it may affect the more than 750 thousand DACA recipients living in the United States. Gilberto Zelaya will discuss the 2020 election process and what the County is doing to prepare.

The Montgomery County Council and Radio America have entered a partnership that provides the Latino community with key information on issues and programs. The partnership also provides a forum for residents to express views and ask questions. The partnership includes the weekly one-hour show each Friday on the Washington metropolitan area’s most popular Spanish language station. Lilian Mass is the show’s host.

Each week, the show features guests talking about important issues before the Council and provides information about programs offered by the County to help residents.
