MCDOT to Hold Public Hearing About Proposed Sidewalk on Oak Drive/MD 27 in Damascus

For Immediate Release: Monday, November 18, 2019

At an upcoming public hearing, residents will have an opportunity to present oral and/or written comments concerning construction of a sidewalk at Oak Drive/MD 27 in Damascus. The Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) will hold the meeting on Wednesday, December 4, at 7 p.m. in the all-purpose room or cafeteria of Damascus Elementary School, located at 10201 Bethesda Church Road, Damascus, Maryland.

The proposed sidewalk will enhance safety for those with disabilities, pedestrians and bicyclists as they travel to schools and nearby facilities. Public input helps determine whether or not to proceed with constructing all or a portion of the sidewalk.
