Holiday Schedule for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Holiday, Jan. 20

For Immediate Release: Monday, January 6, 2020

Montgomery County government will observe the following holiday schedule for the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, Monday, Jan. 20:

County Offices – closed.

Libraries - closed.

Alcohol Beverage Services (ABS) - stores open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Recreation – aquatics programs and facilities open; all other classes and programs canceled.  Administrative office, senior centers and community centers are closed.

Montgomery Parks – visit www.MontgomeryParks.org.

Ride On –Modified holiday schedule.  Route information available at https://www.montgomerycountymd.gov/DOT-Transit/SpecialHoliday.html. 

Ride On Flex – no service on holidays. 

Metrorail and Metrobus – Information available at www.wmata.com. 

TRiPS Commuter Store at Silver Spring Transit Center – open.

TRiPS Mobile Commuter Store – closed.

County-provided refuse/recycling pickup - County-provided trash and recycling collection will not be collected Monday, Jan. 20.  After the holiday, county-provided recycling and trash collections will slide, and be one day later than normal with last collection Saturday, Jan.25.

Shady Grove Processing Facility and Transfer Station - entire facility closed.

Parking at public garages, lots, curbside meters - free; and 

State offices and courts – closed.
