MCDOT to Present Revised Options on Ride On Bus Changes for US 29 at March 3 Public Workshop

For Immediate Release: Friday, February 21, 2020

Based on public feedback received in January about planned modifications to Ride On bus service along the US 29 (Colesville Rd/ Columbia Pike) corridor, Ride On has re-evaluated the originally proposed changes and postponed any final restructuring until fall 2020.

Join the Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) at an open house on March 3 to learn more about how the department listened to your comments. The workshop will be held begin at 6:30 p.m. at Montgomery Blair High School, located at 51 University Blvd. E., Silver Spring. In case of inclement weather, the public workshop will be rescheduled to March 10. Montgomery Blair High School is accessible.

The Ride On changes are being proposed to minimize duplication of service within the US29 corridor and, in most cases, provide higher frequency service operating for more hours during the day.
