A public hearing originally scheduled for March 25 about proposed construction of sidewalks in Silver Spring’s Kemp Mill Estates community has been rescheduled to Wednesday, April 22 at 7 p.m. as an online meeting to safely promote public participation. The Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) encourages residents to provide oral and/or written comments and join the virtual hearing/webcast at: montgomerycounty.adobeconnect.com/kempmillsidewalks.
The proposed sidewalks will enhance safety for those with disabilities, pedestrians and bicyclists as they travel to schools and nearby facilities. Public input helps determine whether or not to proceed with constructing all or a portion of the sidewalks.
